Abanka J.I. Musa is a Prince, born into the family of a retired military officer, late Alhaji Musa Dabai, the magaji Dabai seme in Zuru LGA of Kebbi State, Nigeria. He is married with children. He is a business development consultant, a resource person, a Social reformer, a Caregiver, a professional Manager and a promoter of local inventions, Innovations, and entrepreneurship.

Career:
He has worked with Julius Berger Nigeria Plc, Shell Petroleum Development Company (SPDC) Dangote group all at managerial levels. He has wide experience in manufacturing, Construction, Productions, Oil & Gas. He is a researcher, public speaker, and author. He is the Executive Director, Refocusing Nigerians Talents Organization (RENITO).
He had over two-decade working experience as Union Secretary, Pioneer safety officer with Julius Berger Nigeria Plc., Advisor on Community Affairs, Safety, Head, Environment & Security matters”. (CASHES). to Awad Continental Oil Services Ltd- contractor to Shell Petroleum Development Company (SPDC) bonny tank farm. He Head, “Health, Safety and Environment” (HSE) to Guilpe Oil services Ltd -contractor to SPDC. He was the Pioneer Safety officer, Dangote Cement Industry, NPA, Rivers State; a senior Recovery officer, Dangote group- Lagos and later, Head of Operations Dangote Transport before he voluntarily resigned in December 2011 to supervise the daily running of RENITO NGO that has been in existed since 1995 with an oversight in the content and context in order to assist the Government in identifying and building a data-bank of researchers, inventors and innovators who would salvage the nation from poverty as well as providing empowerment programmes to the citizens in a range of disciplines to de-congest the realm of social vices in the society.

Abanka Musa is a Board Member of Civil Society Action Coalition On Education For All (CSACEFA-with over 600 memberships), National Coordinator, West African civil society forum -Nigeria Platform (WACSOF-with membership across the 15 ECOWAS Countries), board member and national Public Relations Officer and Director of information Chartered Institute of Commence of Nigeria and International Logistics & Administration respectively. He is the current Zonal Coordinate/Focal Person, CSACEFA-FCT, Former Chairman, Institute of Management Consultant Rivers/Bayelsa Chapter. Mr. Abanka Musa has served in various committees in both Government and private sectors of the Economy. He has attended and presented papers in a range of disciplines. He is a recipient of several Awards and author of two books (1. The mindset of an entrepreneur 2. Speak, write this way). He has traveled to 33 states of Nigeria except for Taraba, Adamawa and Gombe states.
As a consultant/Resource Person, he takes delights in imparting knowledge. He has contributed enormously to the success of many Companies, Institutions, and organizations where he had worked and left an ineffaceable footprint that will stand the test of time. Mr. Abanka lectured with the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria (ICAN) and Chartered Institute of Commence of Nigeria (CICN) between 2000-2004 in Rivers state, Nigeria.
In July 2018, he presented a paper titled: CHARACTER AS A YARDSTICK IN NATION BUILDING: The Role of Character as Panacea for Effective and Efficient Leadership in National Development at a national summit in Abuja, Nigeria.
